VB.NET DEVELOPER

This is an immediate opportunity for an experienced (5+ years) Visual Basic. NET Developer with a strong understanding of the design and use of relational databases.

We are looking for a team player that is not afraid of challenges and works well in time-sensitive environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing, testing and documenting existing software application built with VB.Net using Pervasive and MS SQL database technologies.
Design of database structure based on client requirements and maturing architecture.

The ideal candidate must have:

5+ years experience with VB.Net
2+ years experience with SQL
Experience with creating installation packages
Understanding of API tools
Excellent communication, multi-tasking, analytical and problem solving skills
Eagerness to learn
Experience testing/validating software components and system integration points
Understanding of business and financial management systems
Familiarity with BusinessVision accounting software a definite asset

You will be part of a small software development team working on an accounting-related software project with opportunities to move into new platforms and databases.
