Software Implementation Specialist

This position is within the software development team of a progressive company in the GTA. RW&A Inc. is a 25-year-old company with 15 employees that provides accounting services, software development and implementation, and technical support to a very diverse client base.

RW&A is currently looking for a Software Implementation Specialist to support clients in the selection and implementation of business software. The position will include significant time spent on site at various client locations to analyze business requirements and define the scope of any engagements. Upon client acceptance, the successful applicant will be responsible for interacting with the development team and the client to ensure that the project is implemented according to the project plan.

Responsibilities would include:
  • Manage all phases of implementation project from initial meetings with the client through to installation of software.
  • Consult with clients to determine business requirements and how software can best be implemented to suit needs.
  • Develop documentation including development specifications when required.
  • Design and develop accounting reports and software applications with assistance of development staff when required.
  • Be responsible for the successful installation and implementation of accounting and business software.
  • Promptly respond to user support issues and, when necessary, communicate problems to technical and / or development staff when assistance is required.
  • Plan, develop, and execute training for implementations when required.
Requirements for applicants:
  • Experience with Seagate Crystal Reports, Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Project
  • Self starter that enjoys multi-tasking
  • Demonstrated proficiency with problem solving and decision making
  • Detailed approach to project management and implementation
  • Ability to effectively negotiate vendor and client concerns
  • Excellent communication skills
  • University or college degree
