RW&A Inc. scores unprecedented Hat Trick at 2003
BusinessVision Partnership conference
Cutting-edge software consulting firm
receives third Visionary Award from BusinessVision founder Murray Aston
Toronto, Ontario – October 17, 2003 – RW&A Inc., one of Toronto’s premier software
consulting firms, received their third BusinessVision Visionary Award, this time
for Overall Achievement, at the BusinessVision Partnership 2003 Business Partner
Conference on October 1.
The 2003 BusinessVision conference attracted over 300 resellers, numerous industry
experts and members of the accounting press.
Exciting announcements were made regarding the new version 7 of BusinessVision
32, which features a redesigned database and a new “ultra-friendly” GUI. Also
presented to the Business Partners was an À la Carte subscription model making
BusinessVision 32 even more accessible to its small-to-medium enterprise (SME)
market.
This latest award recognizes RW&A Inc. as a model Business Partner organization
with the highest level of expertise in the areas of implementation, training,
accounting, customer support and services, custom software development and
software integration.
“RW&A Inc. has for many years been setting the standard by which other consulting
and reselling firms are measured, as this third Visionary Award further demonstrates,”
said Murray Aston, founder and president of BusinessVision. “Their unprecedented
success with BusinessVision 32 and a host of their own vertical solutions has granted
them the distinction of having earned more of these awards than any other Business
Partner in BusinessVision’s history. We very much look forward to seeing RW&A Inc.
venture on to even greater levels of success!”
Over the past 31 years RW&A Inc. has been supporting small to medium sized businesses
with their accounting needs. With the advent of personal computers RW&A Inc. , was
one of the first bookkeeping services to computerize their client’s accounting records
and tripled their business in one year.
In 1987 the only real time accounting software applications were NewViews and
BusinessVision, both developed in Toronto. Batch processing was required in other
accounting software and it was the strong belief of RW&A Inc. founder and president
Rowie Walker that this method of processing required more administration and did not
allow the reporting capabilities essential to small business.
In order to maintain excellence in their field of expertise, a second generation
joined the company in 1999 and began development of accounting utilities and
industry-specific enhancements on the firm foundation of BusinessVision software
- in real time of course! Software development includes dynamic links from
BusinessVision 32 to other third party applications such as UPS Connect, DeskFlow
Enterprise, and many other industry-specific software applic ations.
As a result of extensive research in accounting software and many years as a
controller for countless small-to-medium enterprise (SME) companies, RW&A Inc.
is a leading consultant in the field. They have maintained a preference for
real-time accounting systems in order to provide clients with up to the minute
financial and management reporting.
