How Does e-BusinessVision Work?
e-BusinessVision is comprised of two components - the Data Agent and the Master Server. When you first establish e-BusinessVision, you create a "company account" on the Master Server. While creating this account, you select an account name that is to be used by your customers for accessing your website (domain users can use their new/existing domain name). In addition, you can configure settings that determine the appearance of your website. Once your account is established, you can update it as often as you like, at no additional cost.
You update your account by logging into your custom website using a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. You then have the ability to change your web-store configuration and the data displayed on your website. Because all configuration is done through the Internet, you can update your website from anywhere in the world.
Once you have created your account on the Master Server, you download and install the e-BusinessVision Data Agent program on your PC or internal network. On the days and times you select, the Data Agent will gather selected information from your Sage BusinessVision system, connect to the Internet, and update your website. It's all automatic and fully secure!
e-BusinessVision automatically assigns unique user names and passwords for all of your selected customers. By assigning unique user names and passwords, your website is able to present information that is specific to each customer. For example, if you have multi-tier pricing configured in your Sage BusinessVision system, e-BusinessVision will present the appropriate price to each customer when they visit your website. e-BusinessVision reflects the pricing methods you use in your Sage BusinessVision system!

Limitations of e-BusinessVision
- Works with BusinessVision inventory in 1 designated warehouse
- Sage BusinessVision recommends that you have no more than 10,000 inventory records uploaded to your web store
- Sage BusinessVision does not recommend using e-BusinessVision if you are using a 3rd party application or ODBC to add, remove or modify data in Sage BusinessVision
